I don't know how many of you have heard of the French movie "La Boum" starring the young French actress Sophie Marceau. I suppose that it was a big deal in France in the 1980s, since all French people that I have talked to seem to know a great deal about it. But they are right, I can assure you that once you watch it, you are not going to get over it easily. And this is mostly due to the beautiful soundtrack. Vic, played by Sophie Marceau, is a 13-year-old girl who wants to attend "la boum", a party where she hopes to find true love. After convincing her parents to let her go with the help of her grandmother, she finally meets Mathieu whom she directly falls in love with. But is he really her true love?
