A few days ago, Belinda, the "best" friend that I talked about yesterday shared a secret of hers with me. It's not exactly a secret but it was something that worried her. After giving it some thought, I couldn't come up with a single solution to help her because I had never been in this situation before. So I decided to share it with you.
About 6 months ago she met a guy who was quite friendly and nice. As they passed more and more time together, he developed feelings for Belinda but she only saw him as as friend. When he informed her about these feelings, she was shocked because she hadn't got the slightest idea! Belinda listened as he confessed all that he felt but when he was done, she didn't have much to say. She didn't want to be anything more than friends. He cried, asked for a chance to show her how much she meant to him and then he left, heartbroken.
So I was thinking, was it really a good idea to reject him? No one had ever been interested in Belinda before and this was the first time someone had asked her out. I don't think letting him go that way was the right thing to do when she could obviously see how much he loved her.
Now, that makes me wonder if I have also a secret fan...
